Concrete Patio Installation

Durable, low-maintenance poured concrete patios built for Northeast Ohio backyards. Broom-finished, troweled smooth, or integrally colored — engineered with a proper base and control joints to handle freeze-thaw winters without heaving.

A Patio That Lasts Decades, Not Seasons

A poured concrete patio is one monolithic, reinforced surface — not dozens of individual pavers with sand joints that sink, shift, and sprout weeds every spring. That means less maintenance, no gaps for ants and grass, and a clean, modern surface that holds up to furniture, foot traffic, and Ohio’s freeze-thaw cycles.

Done right, the difference is in what you don’t see: a compacted aggregate base, steel reinforcement, the correct slab thickness, and properly spaced control joints that tell the concrete where to move. That’s the work that keeps a patio flat and crack-controlled for the long haul — and it’s what we do on every pour.

Every Concrete Patio We Pour Includes

Site Prep & Grading

We excavate, shape the area, and grade for positive drainage so water runs away from your home and foundation.

Compacted Aggregate Base

A properly compacted gravel base is the foundation that prevents settling and heaving over time.

Steel Reinforcement

Rebar or wire mesh adds tensile strength and helps hold the slab together through temperature swings.

Proper Control Joints

Tooled or saw-cut joints at the right spacing control where the concrete cracks — so it stays hidden and straight.

Your Choice of Finish

Classic broom finish, smooth trowel, or integral color — matched to your home and how you’ll use the space.

Curing & Sealing Guidance

We finish, cure, and walk you through sealing so your patio is protected against Ohio winters and de-icing salts.

Pick the Look That Fits Your Yard

Standard concrete doesn’t mean plain. Choose the finish that suits your style and budget — and if you want a fully decorative surface, we do that too.

Broom Finish

The classic, slip-resistant texture. Clean, timeless, and the most budget-friendly option.

Smooth / Troweled

A sleek, modern hard-troweled surface for a more refined, contemporary patio.

Integral & Broadcast Color

Color mixed into the concrete or applied to the surface for warmth and curb appeal.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a concrete patio cost in Ohio?

Cost depends on size, slab thickness, the finish you choose, site access, grading, and any tear-out of an existing slab. Rather than quote a misleading per-foot figure, we measure the space, assess the site, and give you a clear itemized estimate so you know exactly what’s included.

Concrete patio vs. pavers — which is better?

Both work, but a poured concrete patio is one continuous, reinforced surface with far fewer joints, so there’s less weed growth, less shifting, and less long-term maintenance than pavers. Concrete is also typically more cost-effective for larger open areas. Pavers can be easier to spot-repair, but they settle and need re-leveling over time.

How thick should a concrete patio be?

Most residential patios are poured at 4 inches over a compacted base, which is plenty for foot traffic and patio furniture. If you’re placing something heavy — a hot tub, an outdoor kitchen, or a structure — we’ll thicken the slab and adjust the base and reinforcement accordingly.

Will my concrete patio crack in an Ohio winter?

All concrete can develop hairline shrinkage over time, which is why control joints matter — they direct cracking to clean, intended lines. A proper compacted base, correct thickness, reinforcement, and sealing are what keep an Ohio patio flat and crack-controlled through years of freeze-thaw.

Can I get a colored or decorative finish?

Yes. We offer integral and broadcast color on standard concrete, plus fully decorative options — see our stamped concrete patios for stone and slate textures, or exposed aggregate for a natural pebbled surface.
